At present, China has a total of 82 internationally important wetlands, 58 nationally important wetlands, 903 national wetland parks, and 13 international wetland cities, with a wetland area of approximately 56.35 million hectares, ranking first in Asia and fourth in the world. The National Forestry and Grassland Administration stated that it will continuously enhance the diversity, stability, and sustainability of wetland ecosystems through standardized management and quality improvement.
Big data escorts rare birds to flock to Yancheng National Wetland Park

This year, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has issued two national standards, including the "Code for Protection and Management of Small and Micro Wetlands", and five industry standards, including the "Technical Regulations for Wetland Ecological Restoration", to guide various regions in improving the quality of wetland protection and restoration. At the same time, 18 newly designated international important wetland announcements were issued, and pilot acceptance and adjustment work was carried out for 80 national wetland parks.
The latest dispatch from the National Forestry and Grassland Administration shows that this year, 91 wetland protection and restoration projects have been implemented nationwide, 14 major wetland protection and restoration projects have been implemented, and 39100 hectares of wetlands have been restored.
